The exotic hardwood *Ipe was used on the decking as well as the fascia of the porch. The handrails and trellis were done with pine that was later painted.*Brazilian hardwood known mostly because of the beautiful brown and amber tones, and being a dense wood it is more hardy than most of the competing wood used for porches and backyards decks.
